Packaging
In order to properly protect items sent for restoration, the following items are needed:
Bubble Wrap
2 heavy cardboard shipping cartons (outer and inner box).
Packaging peanuts.
Chassis or radio to be shipped.
Order form, envelope
Shipping label
packaging tape.
Choose boxes so that there is 2” of space between the inner and outer box in all 6 dimensions. In other words, there should be at least 2 inches of packing peanuts between the outside of the inner box and the inside of the outer box.
Incorrect: No peanuts on the left right or top.
Outer Box
Inner Box
Once you have all the items, follow these steps for good packaging:
1.Pack chassis or radio in inner box.
2.pour 2 inches of packing peanuts into outer box.
3.Center packed inner box on the peanuts.
4.Fill box with packaging peanuts to the top.
5.Place order form in an envelope and place on top of the packaging peanuts, but not under the seal.
6.Seal the box with Priority Mail or Clear packaging tape.
7.Place mailing label on the box in as close to the center of the top as possible.

Very small radio chassis do not require an inner box. But they need to be wrapped in bubble wrap and the speaker should be covered with cardboard.
