Chassis with Power Transformer
If your radio chassis contains a power transformer, it may look like the one pictured below. This is an RCA from the late 30s. This radio contains 5 “Pre-octal” tubes. A chassis with a power transformer does not normally qualify for my AC/DC Table Radio Restoration Specials. But I do have a special for this type of small table radio chassis with power transformer. Due to the higher voltages, a circuit that’s a little bit different, more capacitors need to be replaced, and the electrolytic capacitors are of a higher voltage, the price is $10.00 higher.
